We are back
Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: We are back
We went on our family vacation and we had a great time. Found lots of great food places while we were there. I'm a bit hesitant to get on the scale. As much as I loved it, it's good to be home. Except for the laundry part. Well, off to finish putting things away.
Wecome back. Glad you enjoyed your vacation! Where did you go? The laundry is bad isn't it?
We went to Hawaii. A college friend got married in Oahu. It was a very pretty ceremony. We got to hang out with him for a bit the day before, which was nice.
Wow. Nice vacation. Must have been pretty.
Aloha, My husband and I went to Hawaii as part of our honeymoon. Would love to take my little guy. Glad you had a great time. Linda
Linda, Which island did you visit?
WE went too. We took the 7 day cruise and stayed on the big island. Had to rescue John from a hole in the water. Another little her girl had grabed him around the neck to save herself. They were like 5 years old. Excellent vacation. It went so fast!
My son went a couple of weeks back for a week. He had a friend there that let him stay with at his place so he only had to pay his plane ticket there and back. The only thing is he and his friend partied so much he didn't do much site seeing unless you count every bar and cabana along the beach. Ah Youth. To be 29 again. He did take some pretty beach pictures and got stopped once for driving down a one way street going the wrong direction. But all in all he says he had a blast. I've never been but one day..... maybe. Glad to see you had a great time. And I'm right there with you when it comes to laundry. I hate doing laundry. LOL
Wow all of these varied Hawaiian experiences. Lots of people enjoy the party life of the Big Island etc. We wanted peace, serenity, solitude when we went - so we stayed only on Kaui and Maui and visited the smaller islands off those islands. We also were very interested in the history, culture, wildlife and fauna and people of Hawaii. We camped in the rain forest, camped and hiked near the Waimea Canyon (Grand Canyon of the Pacific) and did rubber rafting to see the "Hands of God" and explore caves from the sea. For a few days we also rented a condo on the beach and visited Hanalei (as in Puff the Magic Dragon) and took the road to Hana. Wonderful memories - not sure it would all work with kids but it was fun, romantic and soothing (awesome photographs). We've talked about going back this coming year for our 20th wedding anniversary.
