Anyone going on doing something fun during Spring Break?
Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Anyone going on doing something fun during Spring Break?
with or without the kids?
We were planning on driving from NY to Fl and renting a beach house for 10 days but we had a glitch...I breed Unique RagDoll Cats and one of my Queens came into heat and I had to breed her so that her cycle wouldn't keep going so fortunately & unfortunately that means she will be due on March 31st...and I can't go on vacation with a litter of kittens & I can't just leave a litter of pedigree kittens at home to take care of themselves. My Family is not very happy with me - or my cat! LOL
Sounds perfect. What section in florida? I would give the kittens to grandma to take care of. you only live once. why can't you go on vacation with a litter of cats. are the cats hyper allergic? Why can't you bring litter on vacation?

Well - There won't be room in the van for 5 people plus luggage & a litter box (pee- ewe!) and a Momma cat plus 4 or 5 kittens on a 24 hour journey. DH can barely handle the drive with US 4 girls telling him how to drive let alone an extra zoo in the back seat too! LOL I'm afraid some of us wouldn't survive the trip Plus - a rental house would think twice about renting to us with a herd of cats! We like the Gulf coast - it's warmer. But Jacksonville was REALLY nice too. Last year we went to Port Charlotte area & Boca Grande beach & Englewood beaches. That was really nice. Not touristy at all. My girls are bumming - they really wanted to go away over Easter...Grandma would probably faint if we asked her...We will see how many kittens she has - if everything goes good we'll see if I can sweet talk her & find a last minute deal!
I'm an hour south of Jax, so if you need help looking on this side of FL, let me know ... there are a LOT of nice little places in this area. St Augustine is very close, and about abazillion B&Bs. The good thing about FL is that just about everything is accessible for day trips .... if you wanted to to stay somewhere in the middle (I would avoid Orlando, ofcourse!) and then drive to the out-of-the way places OR renting a cabin on one of the millions of islands we have would be fun too. The thing I like about the west coast is the shell-collecting is nicer. But I think the sand on this side is better (just my personal opinion!) ~
Kids want to go to the beach soooo bad...OK so do I! But cat hasn't had kittens yet &I'm not sure if she's pregnant! She would be due on March 30th - so either way we have to wait to see!
We'll be having an exchange student from Germany for a couple of weeks. Should be fun. DS will have a lot of track practice and a track meet. That's about it.
Wow! that sounds interesting.
YES! My Kids would LOVE that! What program is that through?
Just got the news that my oldest daughter got invited to Disney - for free - with a girlfriend & her family. Now my 2 younger daughters are NOT HAPPY!!!
WE got the RV out from the back yard where it was buried in snow! Looking Good ;) We have a 37 foot Class A with a super slide. I love our camper...thinking about moving into it with our marriage circumstances right now LOL Our 1st camping trip is planned for Memorial Day Can't wait that long though!
Our exchange student arrived on Saturday. My little boys love him! He has activities throughout the week so we just add his to the rest of the family's activities.
YAY! That is awesome! Keep me posted on how it works out. Would love to entertain the possibility of hosting some day!
