I didn't mean to ignore you, I've had computer "issues" for a few days now .... some people have work issues, some people have family issues, I seem to have computer issues ... hahaha !

Anyway, I'm on the east coast of FL, Palm Coast to be exact, in between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach.

Do you ever get over this way ?

Very rarely. I've lived in FL almost all my life (born in Jacksonville) but I've only been to Daytona 4 times. I no nothing about Palm Beach.

I know the upper gulf coast of FL and much of central FL, but very little about the atlantic coast and Southern FL.

Do you ever head to the Gulf coast?

Sorry you've had computer issues. That can be a problem.

I've been to Daytona Beach for a couple of days, back in 1979. On one day of that vacation, I got to go to Tampa/St. Pete and see the Gulf, too. The rest of the time we were at Disney World. We saw the Space Center, too.

Harlena, my ex-in-laws live in Palm Coast, I was up there over Thanksgiving.

Dana, I live near Palm Beach, we're about 3.5 hours south of Palm Coast. I had never even heard of Palm Coast until my ex's parents moved there, and when he told me I confused the two as well. Palm Coast is really nice, it's near Daytona and St. Augustine.

I've only been to Florida once! The year before that, we drove out to Washington DC and Williamsburg, Virginia.

With my current family, we've been to Niagara Falls, ON, Black Hills of South Dakota and northern WI/Superior, WI/Duluth, MN/North Shore of MN.

Last year, Gary didn't want to spend the money on a vacation, though.

Yepper, Palm Coast (which gets confused with Palm Beach often but in VERY different part of FL) is very close to St Augustine ....

We've been to the Tampa area a few times, mostly it was for oldest Ds's AAU double header baseball games. He's in high school now and out of AAU so we don't travel that kind of distance for baseball any longer.

I was actually looking for a gem mining or fossil hunting area to take next in line Ds to for his birthday ..... have you heard of any ? Just thought I'd ask since there seem to be a number of people living in or familiar with Florida.
