I had to take him to the pound today. He has a type of mange that you can't get rid of and we have 2 other dogs and I don't want them to get it.
I have a friend that now wants to give me her shitz-zu(sp?). He is total healthy and house trained. I am going to ask DH about it tonight. I will let you know what we decide.

"A type of mange you can't get rid of?" By any chance, is that Demodex mange? That's a hard one to get rid of if the underlying cause is immune deficiency in the dog. But Sarcoptes mange (the other more common type) is easily enough treated, although the associated dermatitis can be a pain to get under control.

It was demodex. I just didn't have the money to take him to the vet right now and I am hoping that the animal control will treat him and find him a good home.
