I've had it - What internet service provider do you recommend?
Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: I've had it - What internet service provider do you recommend?
I am so frustrated with my provider. I have not been able to send e-mail for 10 days. Yesterday they fixed it. Today it is not working again. But they say it's my fault. What makes it even worse is I cannot even submit an e-mail question from the website and they don't tell me what is missing from my submission form. Please recommend an ISP. I use a Modem/dial-up service, because Verizon is not doing FIOS in my area yet, and I don't want to use ComCast because everything I hear says it is nothing but problems.
Well, I am biased because dh works for AT&T. But, we have always used their service, and I have never had any problems.
We have the package deal from comcast - internet, phone and cable - $99 for the past year and have never had an issue.
We're happy with Comcast. (ISP and cable)
We have ours through Comcast and have never had a problem with our internet service. Cable is another issue, but no problem with internet...
We are getting ready to switch over to AT&T. I'm just waiting until after my surgery because we will be switching to Dish Network as well. I too am fed up with our provider. We have Cox Communications and its been a nightmare. Their billing is always messed up and we are constantly having connectivity issues.
We have Comcast, and it constantly has outages, I'm not impressed. Cox was ok, when we lived in KS, but obviously not an option for you. As for dial-up, I really don't know, it's been years since I've had dial-up, but I would recommend going with a DSL if you have a landline phone. Earthlink is not too bad, my grandmom had them until recently, and it was decent service. I also use Gmail, instead of the ISP email services, because I never have any problems with it, can access it anywhere, anytime, and don't have to notify everyone of a new email address if I change providers. There are a ton of other benefits to it, but those are the big ones.
We use Charter Cable and really don't have problems. Once in a while, we lose the signal, but it's never been for very long.
Martnet. I've never had a problem with 'em.
We use earthlink. It doesn't ever have a problem with outages or anything like that. We use DSL though, not dial-up. However, the customer service at earthlink is horrible. All of their call centers are oversees and it is extremely difficult to to converse with them due to the heavy accents.
We are bundled with Cox - phone, cable internet and cable TV.....
