Were adopting...again...
Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Were adopting...again...
Well we are adopting our foster dog in January. We have had her for almost 2 years. ALthough we have 2 dogs that we own already, we always said that 2 would be our limit to own...After having "Ashley" for almost 2 years, I could not let her go. I love her to pieces , issues and all. My husband told me adopting Ashley would be my Christmas gift. I was AOK with that. We are waiting until Jan, after the holidays are over to adopt her. Now I will be the proud owner of 3 dogs Ashley is a black and tan coonhound. I would of never believed I would have ever picked a hound dog to adopt, but she is the most lovable, lazy dog I have ever met
Congratulations!!!! I would love to own another dog. I have two now and a cat plus a hamster....oh and the four kids!
Congratulations! It will be nice for Ashley to have a forever home.
We still have another foster dog here "Maisy" who we are NOT adopting. She has only been with me since July. She is an older gal, sweet as can be. I am hoping to find her a forever home soon. She really is no problem, she is the quietest dog we have had here. I think the fosters who come here, just get "too comfortable" at my house, Apparently we spoil them too much, and they just don't want to leave LOL
Lazy dogs are nice dogs to have around - having one in our house. Jackie, you are sure building up angel points.
I had thought of you recently and was thinking about how hard it was going to be on you now if you found her a permanent home! Glad that home is going to be with you!
Ginny-I don't know about building up angel points, I just have a soft spot for doggies ...well not all doggies, I do love most of them LOL... In my home on a regular basis, I have 2 dogs that I own, and 2 fosters(well soon to be only one foster). During Thanksgiving week, I had a total of 9 dogs here, customers and my dogs. It was a FULL house here. People think we are crazy, and think it would be chaotic to have so many dogs here. Honestly, you get the right bunch of dogs, all who know each other, and things run very smoothly around here. Today I am down to 7 dogs, 2 go home tonight. One goes home in another 10 days. I think people feel this is a much better alternative to a kennel/or a doggie hotel.
