the weather was very much like it is here today. Snowy, snowy, snowy. I remember this because it was the day my little boy was born! Happy Birthday Joey!! I got very few visitors in the hospital because of the weather. My friend tried to visit and had to turn around and go home. It would have usually taken her 20 minutes to get there but in the snow it took her an hour to go halfway! I will never forget this story: It was the middle of the night when they brought Joey to me so I could nurse him. He was crying and crying. I said "it's o.k. baby, mommy's here" and he immediately stopped crying and turned his little face and looked at me. And that, is the moment I bonded with my baby boy. I loved him before that of course but even more when I realized that at a few hours old he recognized my voice! I can not believe that was 8 years ago!! He's getting so big and is so, so smart.
Happy Birthday, Joey!! Have a great day!!!

I hope you have a GREAT day!!!
Happy Birthday, Joey! What a sweet story!
Awww, that is sweet! Happy Birthday, Joey!!
Happy 8th b'day, Joey! And sorry I'm late!
He had a fun birthday. Grandmas and grandpa, aunt and uncles and neighbor family (joey's best friend) came over to celebrate. Played Wii, ate cake and opened presents. Yesterday we spent the day putting together the toys and gifts he got. And today he has a bowling party with a few friends. It's funny how a birthDAY ends up being a birthday weekend!
Happy birthday!!!!
He had fun at his bowling party....until his dropped/squashed his finger between 2 balls. He came up to me holding his finger and telling me it hurt and told me what happened. He was not crying and it looked fine, so I didn't worry much about it. (normally he would have been crying, but now I realize he didn''t cry because his friends were there) Last night he goes "my finger still hurts" I look at it and the top part of his ring finger is PURPLE and swollen. So we get some ice and put it on the finger. He would not put ice on it for more than 1 second. So dh gets a bucket of ice and tells him that he will put his hand in the ice too. So they both froze their fingers for 30 seconds at a time for a minute or 2. This morning he didn't want to go to school because his finger hurt. Of course he still went to school and I told him to show it to his teacher if it starts hurting and maybe she will let him get some ice. It did look a bit better this morning. Not as swollen and not quite as purple. It is not broken, it's just really bruised. Poor kid.
