Looking for a book on angels
I am looking for a book about real-life encounters with angels to give to my Grandma for Christmas this year. My Grandpa died of cancer about a year and a half ago and this spring Grandma had a dream where an angel came to her and let her know that Grandpa was ok. She has found a lot of comfort in this angel encounter and it allowed her to pick up the pieces and get back to day-to-day life. She talks about this angel encounter and how it really helped her frequently and I thought she'd like to read a book of stories from others who have had similar experiences. So, to make a long story short, has anyone here read a book like this and have a book recommendation for me? I would really appreciate it! TIA
I don't know of any but if you go to Amazon.com and do a search of books on angel encounters you might find what you are looking for.
I'm pretty sure Sylvia Brown has a book on angel encounters.
Thanks for the suggestions. I tried doing a search on Amazon.com, but many of the books either do not have customer rating or only have one or two customers and do not give enough info for me to know if the book is what I'm looking for or not. Also, several of the books didn't even have a description of what the book is about past it's title. It seems that most of the books were about guardian angels saving people from one tragedy or another and that is ok, but what I'm hoping to find are stories about people who have had angels appear to them when they have lost a loved one or are going through extremely difficult situations and have had a angel appear and guide them or comfort them. I will look for a book on the subject by Sylvia Brown, but I'm wondering if she (Sylvia Brown) wouldn't be a little too out there for Grandma. Grandma is in her early 80's and quite involved in her church. Anyone else read books about angels and have a recommendation?
I know that I've recently seen one at Costco. I'll be there in a couple of days, and if they still have it, I'll get the name and author for you. I'm thinking it was set up like a Chicken Soup book.
