Vacuum/sweeper for bare floors
I have hard wood floor in my kitchen. I've had a Swiffer Vac for about 1 1/2 years and it just completely died on me. I really like using something like that on my hardwood instead of using a broom. I do have a Dyson Sweeper and used that on my kitchen floor sometimes but it's not that great to used on the kitchen floor. Does anyone have a bare floor sweeper/vacuum that they like to use on their hardwood or tile? I wasn't a big fan of the Swiffer Vac. It worked well for a while but then lost it's "juice" pretty quickly. Sometimes it wouldn't even make it throughout my whole kitchen before it started dying again. And my kitchen isn't THAT big! Thanks for any suggestions
I just use the dry Swiffer cloths/mop on my hardwoods.
My swiffer dry cloths just don't *keep* all the dog hair on them, so I end up sweeping anyway. I love my new sweeper for my hardwood. It's the one that I believe Kaye and Yvonne recommended to me. It's GREAT on hardwood! Doesn't spread it around, but actually sucks it up. You might not want a new sweeper though. It's a Eureka Boss Smart Vac (with a bag).
A friend of mine recommended something called "flip-it" to me. It sucks it up and also dry mops the dust. I haven't been able to find it at our local stores yet, but I would like to. We have wood flooring that I am forever sweeping.
