Keratosis pilaris aka chicken skin...
Does anyone have this condition? My dd gets this on the back of her arms and I am wondering what to use that will help the condition, anyone familiar with this?
yes, my dd had it. There is no cure, but some products that are supposed to help. I took her to the dermatologist and he said shorter, cooler showers will help - she will outgrow it.
I'm pretty sure that my son has it. His doctor pointed it out to me at his 2 year visit and said not to worry about it and there wasn't anything we could do to make it go away.
I have had this condition since I was little, we tried everything...some people out grow it others do not. I for one did not One good thing is the older you get, it is less noticeable. I have it on the back of my arms and on the top of my legs.
It looks really red on the back of my dd's arms, I hope that she does grow out of it! I guess it is an inherited condition passed on by your parents, I don't have it and I never really noticed it on my dh, hopefully it will go away, thanks anyway everyone.
I have a product that was actually given to me to help desolve an injured toe nail. I looked up the product online to see exactly what it was meant for and it is for just what you said. Let me go get the name of it..... It prescription. Kerol, Redi-cloths Hope it works for you.
My DD has it too. Back of her arms and a bit on her back right near where her arms have it! I hate that she has it! It looks so uncomfortable for her... sometimes it even looks like little whiteheads or ingrown hairs mixed in. And, YES... MY DH HAD IT WHEN HE WAS A KID!!! Even now, he has the most sensitive skin, and my poor DD took right after him!
