I feel bad for my sister
I know I've had my share of posts on here complaining about her but she is starting to mature a bit. Real life will do that to a person lol! Anyway, her whole pregnancy her due date has been the 15th. She is miserable and having minor contractions like crazy and was hoping her doc would say she was at least 1 cm. At her appointment Friday he said they were going to go by one of her ultrasounds and her measurements use the 25th as her due date. What a miserable time to find that out! She thought she was getting closer and instead it is likely further away. Her dh works out of town so I've been hanging out with her sometimes when all the kiddos are in school to help her pass the time, she sits at home a lot. It's kind of cool though to be getting along with her and her "know-it-all ness" and starting to go away.
At that point in time, I would NOT have wanted to hear that the due date is now FARTHER away! Sarah was early. They asked me if my dates were right. I got my last period with her on Thanksgiving Day 1988. When she came out all coated with vernix, that greasy whitish stuff, then they conceded my dates were right and she was just early. (36 weeks and a day was her gestational age, at birth.) I was thrilled that it was happening early and she had no problems.
Rayelle, I understand how you feel about things turning around for the good between you and your sister. My older sister has always been extremely difficult to be around.Toooooo long of a story, but yet she is the one I have always turned to ( and ,at the same time, keeping my distance from ). But, 3-4 years ago, she finally went to the doctor and said she needed help. He put her on an anti-depressant, and she is an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT person ! I now have the sister that I've always wanted/needed. It's great when we are together.I hope everything works out for you and your sister.
