Are any of you going to have to evacuate for Ike???

Experiencing deja vu here - DH is making reservations NOW for this coming week *just in case* - since so many of the models show Ike going into the Gulf. (If that happens, my cruise is SO shot! )

So what's the story with FL????

The kids are headed back today, my dh says that they should at least wait till Wednesday of next week to see where this thing is headed, however the powers that be (adam's bosses) say that they will wait till Friday of next week to evacuate, (from New Orleans)doesn't make sense to me. They are headed to Mobile, Alabama today, they have one more hotel stay on this evacuation so their all staying there then heading back tomorrow. Hope it doesn't happen Karen!

I haven't made plans for Ike yet but it seems that most people are making reservations around here. I guess I'll get going on that today! Ds and his friend are profiting from Gustav by selling cold lemonade to people cleaning their yards! They've made about $15 so far! It's something for them to do. It's nice of people to humor them and buy a cup of lemonade.

Our reservations are set. When DH was on the phone with the motel, they had just gotten off the phone with some people in Houma, reserving rooms for Ike. If you're going to reserve a room, I'd go ahead and do it. You can always cancel it. We are HOPING to have to cancel it! LOL
