Mommy brag from A2
Kay came home from school, at five o'clock yesterday, I know it's late, that's when she and ds get home now... Anyways she was taken out of keyboarding..I still don't know if it is computers or music, couldn't get an answer and changed to an 8th grade journalism class( she is 7th grade). She was so upset, hysterics! She went on and on all night long how she didn't want the class, doesn't know anybody...you all know the drill! I called the data clerk today to see if she could be taken out of the class. She told me that some of the kids had to be taken out of keyboarding because the class size was too large but the journalism teacher chose Kay, in a teacher's meeting with the principal, asst, guidance, data clerk because she is one of the "sunniest" kids in this school. She didn't know if that was a word but it describes Kay to a tee. She said it was a fun class with camera projects, videos, special assignments, etc. Now all I have to do is convince Kay of this when she comes home from school!
Oh hey isn't that a good reflection on your dd!! What a compliment! Sounds like the class will be lots of fun too, good luck on convincing her, I know how that can be!!
She handled it very well! Thank goodness. Yeah!
Glad to hear she handled it well!!! I am sure she will have fun in the class. She has plenty of years ahead of her to take a keyboarding class.
Awwww, the sunniest kid! How sweet! Let us know how it goes!
...the sunniest kid....sounds like with everything you and your precious dk's have gone through ...with the x and "her"... the way you handled yourself and put your dk's first and foremost and stayed strong and kept your morals, has payed off !!You're a good mom ...it shows in your dk's !!
That was a nice thing they said about your daughter. Maybe she will end up enjoying the other class. In our school district, the keyboarding class is required in 6th or 7th grade, so they wouldn't take anything out of it. Besides actual typing, they learn stuff about Word and Excel, too. You should Emily put together a spreadsheet with formulas and everything.
I'm glad she handled it well! I bet she will really like the class.
