She got her expander put in and she did great! She's much tougher than I thought she was! The Dr. showed me how to turn the key on the thing and I did it (didn't like it, but i did it ) she sort of just said "ouch!" and that was it.
She isn't talking to funny or different. I mad her macaroni and cheese for lunch. She was nervous about eating with it in, but did good. She just ate slowly. We crank it 14 times, so just for 2 weeks. Then go back and he measures how much her mouth expanded. Then soon after that she gets the braces put on.

I had this picture of her having a headache and just not wanting to do anything today. But she's perfectly fine, outside riding her scooter right now.

I'm so relieved. I know we still have to do the cranking the key thing every night, but I don't think that part will be so bad. I though the day she got it put in would be the worst.

That's great news! Glad your dd was such a trooper. She probably realizes that a little pain/discomfort now will enable her to have a beautiful smile for the rest of her life

Glad to hear both of you were troopers! Gosh, I remember braces. Those hurt so bad when they tightened them, but it was totally worth it. Congrats again and let us know how it progresses!
