Ranges
We are needing to buy a new range (electric). We are going with stainless. Right now we are looking at a Kenmore Self-Clean Convection but have found out it is actually made by Frigaire. Has anyone had any experience with this?
Recently I found out while investigating refridgerators that ALOT of brands are made by frigidaire. Our White-westinghouse is a "generic" frigidaire along with several other brands.
How have you found you product to work? I haven't heard great things about frigidaire so I'm a little concerned. BTW..please excuse my spelling in my post.

I've never had a problem with the refridgerator, I just looked and my range is one as well. We've had the fridge for almost 4 years and the range is in my rent house but I've never had a problem with it. It's a cheaper model (and gas). Hopefully someone else will have more experience with that particular model.
Are you going to get a ceramic top? LOVE mine and will never go back to coil burners!
I do not have experience with this brand. Sorry. Good luck shopping. I have the Whirlpool Gold ceramic cooktop. It has been good. However, I am one of those wierdo's that prefers to cook with gas. If I could change this out for a Gas Thermador, I'd do it in a flash. I never use my convection. Really not that much faster. And I did use the self cleaning, but my gets too hot and actually burns out the heating elements. So I can't use it anymore. Costs me $100 bucks each time I do that, to replace the heating elements. But that's on a Whirlpool Gold double oven that is 9yrs old... HAve fun shopping.
My Frigidaire range works great! It always does, when I need it to do. We bought it sometime in the last 5 years. We have a gas stove. Mine has no trouble cleaning.
