Which Dirt Devil bag vacuum do you have? I want to look into it. I've always had a DD and been happy with it, and I think I'm going to take my new bagless back. I just didn't see any bag vacuums that weren't really dirt cheap, so I was wondering which yours was.

Hmmm...let me go look. It is an eureka, the boss smart vac. Not a dirt devil...oops. I am very happy with it. But it is basic. I paid 150 (it is a bright red). I think there are some parts that could be made better, but it sure cleans well. I won't ever go bagless again.

I have the Eureka Boss Smart Vac also. It was voted the best by Consumer reports the year I bought it. I love it. I love that it sucks up fur off hard floors without spreading it around. My old one just blew it around. This sucks up everything. I bought mine at Sears. It is great on hard floors and carpet (adjusts to different surfaces). We have 5 cats & 2 dogs and this vacuum has worked great. My old one was a bagless and I hated it.
