He went to see his ENT yesterday. His nose is completely open. The dr said that was the trickiest thing to do because he didn't want to cauterize too much but also wanted to make sure he would take out enough to make the difference that R iley needed.
His throat is still healing and will be sore for a couple of weeks because there are still scabs in there and the stitches are not dissolved yet but he has the all-clear to eat what he can, go swimming and resume normal activities.
He does not need another follow-up unless R feels worse or starts to bleed into his throat.
R is still sleeping better and he is a much more pleasant child during the day. Even his sister K does not get under his skin as in the past.
Yeah! Thanks for all of your support, wisdom and well-wishes. He starts school (jr high)in under two weeks and I think this will be his best year ever because he can finally sleep through the night with a quality that allows him to feel rested.
