Until recently, I used Craigslist to purchase items. In the last couple months I have posted several really nice items at very nice pricing. Well worth the purchase. But I have little to NO luck on selling the stuff.

I do however, get emails "is this still available" emails. I reply with one or two questions, like "do you want the full set, or broken set" or "what day is best for you, where do you live" You know things you need to know inorder to complete a transaction. But I NEVER hear back from any one. Just the first "is this avail"

Are people using Craigslist to find valid email addresses?

Anyone have this experience?

The one time I got someone offering more than that first email, she waited too long to check back again and I had already donated the stuff.

I haven't ever done anything with Craigslist. I can't help you much! It sounds annoying, though.

I have a love/hate thing with Craigslist, I have successfully sold a few things, not sold others, and get a lot of bogus offers. Like "This is for my brother, who lives in *insert remote area*, please send me your paypal email address immediately so I can send you the price plus shipping. Blah Blah Blah.." It just reeks of scam!!

Thanks for the replies. Some of this stuff, you just never know. I KNOW for sure that every time I log onto Ebay, I get extra spam. Not sure why, but it happens EVERY time. I don't go their often, so it is easy for me to see this trend.
