R iley (11) is having his surgery tomorrow. He is having his tonsils and adnoids removed also the inside of his nose cauterized to open up the passages.
We will spend the night in the hospital so they can monitor his oxygen levels and bleeding.
Of course I am nervous but know it's the right thing to have done.
I'll be on here today but won't be able to update until Friday.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

What really stinks for me is my (e)stranged dh will be there, too. Ughhh. The only good thing about him being there, besides his support of his son, is that he is taking the little girls back to his place for the weekend so I don't have to be concerned with them needing to be entertained and aggravating their little brother. (Believe me, that wasn't easy for me to get him to agree to, either, because it's not his "weekend").

Ds downloaded the game Scrabble and the movie Step Up 2(?) for me on his iPhone, so I would have something to do while I am sitting with him.

Awww, that was nice of your son! Why is it that estranged spouses seem to think that they cease to be parents, when they don't live with you, anymore? He really doesn't stop being "dad", after he ceases to be the "husband!"

I'm glad he's taking the girls, even if he didn't want to.

I'm off tomorrow and Friday so wont' be able to check in. You both will be in my thoughts and prayers. Your going to love the movie. went to see it Valentine's Day, bought it yesterday, on my way home to look at it now. I'm glad he agreed to watch the girls so that you can focus all your attention on ds. I'll check in Monday on you both.

I can relate RE: X being there when your child has surgery, and being asked to do something that interferes with HIS routine - don't let him get to you. ~~~~~~~~~~~BREATHE~~~~~~~~~~~

This is about your DS - and if X needs to be reminded of that, then so be it. Don't feel badly about venting about it - better OUT than IN, right?
