It is just too hot for this..
I can't believe this.. we got a new a/c unit for upstairs last year and they told us that our unit for downstairs was only 4 to 5 years old so there would be no need to replace it for a long time. Well guess what ladies? It quit working today!!!! Since my surgery I have been pretty sensitive to heat and I am not doing well with this at all. And on top of everything else.. I have to spend a wonderful weekend with my entire family which isn't exactly my idea of a great weekend. I love my family but some of them can really get to me. My dh and I just 2 weeks ago decided that since he got a really good raise this year that we would splurge a little and get 2 new laptops for us. Now I am really wishing we would have decided to just not do it... This is going to cost us about 2000.. and we don't have it lying around. On a different alittle better subject I love my new MacBookPro.... it is awesome. I have never had an apple before but I can do everything I am used to on it and much much more!! Plus if there is something we just can't do there is always bootcamp so we have loaded vista on a portion of the hard drive too. Sorry just venting.. I love living in TX but not without an a/c!!! I may go sleep in the floor of one of my kids rooms tonight if I can't get to sleep pretty soon...
Oh that sucks.. it is cool and rainy here.. Want to come to Ohio for a sleep over? I hope you can figure something out. ((((HUGS))))
It was in the 50's last night and was 65, when I first got up. Wisconsin is much cooler, too! We had our AC on yesterday, but then a cold front went through and we didn't need it anymore.
check freecycle for air conditioners. I see them on it all the time, a lot of people put them on it when they go to central air.
we will just get it replaced and it is central a/c (we just have 2 units one for upstairs and one for down) and hopefully it will just be the outside one because it will cost a fortune to replace both inside and out... just complaining.. we can put it on credit and pay it off in a few months.. just means cutting back on other fun stuff like all of our trips to the movies and such. I guess in a way I am glad that we are going out of town for the weekend because after last night (and it was only in the 80s) I can't spend another night in that house until it is fixed.. I didn't sleep at all..
{{{{{{{{{{Tara}}}}}}}}}} BTDT so I know how miserable you feel. How soon are you getting it replaced?
Oh nooooo!!!! Blake and I were in Dallas over Memorial Day weekend and it was scorching hot!!! I cannot imagine having no a/c in July in Texas. I am sorry! (((hugs)))
Tuesday but e are at my mom's until Sunday so it won't be too bad
That's good. Wisconsin is having a lot of trouble staying warm this summer. Last night, I opened my windows for a little while, but soon got cold and shut them again. At 5am, it wa 53! The last time I checked the temp, it was 72, so not really all that warm. It would be nice to actually be having summer weather. Not that we swim that much, but we haven't had a lot of good swimming weather yet.
