Adena ? for you
I called the dr's office for Rx for Vermox. These are the tablets we used before. Can they give this over the counter or are you talking about Pin-X; which I will have to buy since my dr's office didn't call in the script for the Vermox. What a pain in the butt
I'm not sure if it is the same thing or not. Last year when my dd (11) got them...again! Ugh! the doctor wouldn't call in a script. He said that now they tell all patients to go to the pharmacy and get something for it without a prescription. Probably something the insurance companies are doing!
Thanks....no Rx from the dr and walmart didn't have the pin-x. I'll drop by the dr's office tomorrow. I was mowing my back lawn when nurse called me back. She said the dr wanted to see dd. I said why? We have been going to him for 12 years and pinworms don't come out until night time, it would be a watse of his time and my money for an office visit. We will see if they call an a Rx tomorrow.
Wow! If they don't, try some other pharmacies. I'd just call and ask them if they have the pinworm medication you can get over the counter. Poor dd having to deal with it another night!
I never had to bring a child in for pinworms, and our Ped. usually *erred on the side of caution* - to a fault, I used to say. LOL But one would think, especially considering that you have 4 kids and have been seeing the same doc for 12 years, that they would realize that you KNOW your DD has pinworms and would just call in the darn stuff! It was the same situation with us - 4 kids, used the same Ped FOREVER - and would often have all four in together for strep or something, and I wasn't one to push the panic button prematurely, so they gave me enough credit for having a LITTLE knowledge! LOL Good luck!
I bought the Pin-X over the counter stuff today.I it has enough for the entire family with only one treatment needed. The doctor never called the Rx in yesterday and I had to leave a voicemail for the nurse today. Their office is usually very good; someone must have dropped the ball somewhere this times. Things happen.
