While we're on the subject of prayers...
I just got a call from my doctor's office calling to see if anyone talked to me about my mammogram results, I said no one has, and she said you say that like you already know, I then told her no one has called me about anything, she then said they want additional views of your right breast. Wow, my very first mammogram and this is the news I get, I truly hope it turns out to be nothing. So your prayers are needed and appreciated...
Hugs and prayers...Chances are it is nothing, so try not to worry. I know, easier said than done!
Don't let it worry you too much till you have reason to worry. I have had yearly mammos since I was 18, and for about 3 years, I had them twice a year. They are very precautious, and like to get additional views for simple reasons such as not being able to see an area clearly. Also, if you have fibrous cystic breasts, you will have more issues with mammograms because they will watch the cysts. Especially since this is your base mammogram. Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers!
I went through this last yr. I had my very first one last yr. A couple days later somebody called and said I needed to go back and have some extra views done. I was so scared..it turned out AOK..they said I had dense breasts and sometimes its hard to see everything they need to see.
Thank you ladies, the next screening is on Monday afternoon, I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
I went through this in January at age 31, I had a bunch of tests run and it ended up being nothing. I'm supposed to go back this month but need to call because I'm not sure they do them if you're pregnant. It is scary but chances are it's nothing. Good for you for going, so many women put it off!
That happened to me in almost the same manner several years ago. I had to go in for a repeat mammo and a breast ultrasound. Result was I have fibrocystic breast disease. For a few years after that, my Dr. ordered diagnostic rather than screening mammograms, and an ultrasound, but last year he went back to ordering screening mammos because there were no changes from year to year. You will likely be fine. Let us know what you find out {{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}
My mom and one of my sisters (31 years old) has fibro cystic breast disease too, they went through the same thing.... Don't panic until someone (with knowledge) tells you too...
