I'm off to a baby shower. I'm so excited! I get to leave in a few minutes. Dh asked when I'd be back and I smiled sweetly and said, "Gee, I don't know, honey." The look on his face was hilarious. The boys are already "active" and I'm sure I'll be getting numerous phone calls from Dh. Maybe my phone won't get reception...

Anyway, it's been a long time since this mommy got to hang out with some girlfriends and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it!

I had such a great time at the baby shower. We played lots of games and I actually won three of them! The food was all homemade and delicious! And when it came time to open the gifts, we were all ooing and ahhing and oh how cuteing. Lol
I have to confess it made me want another baby.

Oh, and as far as dh and dks, my phone didn't ring once. When I got home, though, before I could unlock the door I heard, "Hurry, mommy's home!" I think they did a lot of bonding and were basically up to no good. When I asked them what they did all three answered, "Nothing." When I asked them where they went they said, "Nowhere." When I asked them what they ate they said, "Stuff."
All I said was, "Ok."

Now to plan my next outing....hehehe

Marcia, would you believe, at *almost 53*, I have NEVER had a weekend or week away with *just the girls*?! I've had nights out, or lunches, but nothing more. BUT that will change in 3 months - my sisters and I, and quite a few other *old ladies* are going on a 5 day, girls only cruise, we are all (or WILL all be) 50-somethings, and it's sole purpose is to celebrate all of our 50th b'days, past and present. I KNOW it will recharge MY batteries! LOL Quality time spent with the girls is the best thing in the world.

In the past year and a half I have taken 2 mini vacations with a girlfriend, and it was amazing for both of us! We could go to expensive restaurants and sit and drink some wine, eat slowly and talk for hours on end. You just can't do that with men or kids around! We fell asleep talking, woke up late, and then just spent our days walking, talking, sitting in the sun, etc. Wonderful!! Hmmmm, I think I'm due for another getaway!
