Okay, I am a day shy of 4 weeks post surgery. I have VERY little pain and most of that is actually solved by muscle relaxers better than pain pills (and I am only taking those at night because I seem to be really tense by the end of the day). I am back at work full time but I can't drive quite yet. I am starting physical therapy tomorrow. I will go 3 x a week for 4 weeks. After the first 1 or 2 visits I will be brace free, I CAN"T WAIT!!! And I will be able to drive again.

The pain I have gone through which really want about the first 2 1/2 weeks has totally been worth it since all the pain my degenerative disc was causing is totally gone!

I almost have full range of motion back and I haven't even started physical therapy yet. The pain the first 2 weeks was pretty bad but as long a I took my pain meds regularly it was controlled. This was my first surgery, but it has been the best thing I could have done for myself.
