Sorry I've been so in and out of cyber consciousness!

Scott lost his job 4 weeks ago and it has been stressful. His last workplace lost 16 out of 36 positions either to resignation or being fired. It was really out of the blue, but we are happy. He was traveling 5 out of 6 weeks at a time and, before that, working from 8:30am-7pm most days. They weren't family friendly and there were a lot of office politics which we don't care for. He lost his job because they said he "didn't put thing in the right files and clients complained about not enough communication", yet he received a bonus for a "job well done" not but 4 weeks before that. So, we think it's politics. That, and the longest anyone has ever been in that position was 9 months.

Anyway, fast forward he found a good job that is using his top secret clearance and I applied for an awesome job nearby that is part time teaching science at a high school. This high school is ranked #6 in the state and is fairly close! So...I can work while Connor is in school and then I can still "be at home" with him after that!

Pray that this all works out...gotta run...tutoring to do now.

Congratulations! Sounds like it's all going to work out well. I think Scott is better off without that other job. Sheesh!

Wow congrats, that is a lot of change in a very short time; it must have been very stressful for you all.

DH just got a new job recently and is gone from 7 am to 7 pm each day it's hard and now I'm starting work as well, so I totally get how stressful it can all be. Keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out well for you all.

I'm sorry that he lost his job but they do say things happen for a reason and now he has a much better job.

Good luck with the Science job. I loved teaching part time. I'm looking forward to only teaching one grade level next year. Plus, my prep is at the end of the day so I'm essentially done teaching at 1:10. I'm hoping to not have to bring a ton of work home each night and be home by 5pm.

I know you will do well.
