I have been online to get resources for my Sunday School lesson tomorrow on Memorial Day. I really want my students (ages 4 to 9) to understand what the day is about, and how the freedoms that we enjoy, including the freedom to worship, come with a price that cannot be repaid. We have two soldiers from our church presently in Iraq, so we will be making cards to send to them.

I realized that, in this fast paced, rush around world that we live in, we adults may not take the time either to truly REMEMBER, not only those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice, but those who are serving today.

Please take time today or tomorrow to observe a time of quiet and/or prayer for those in the past who have served, and those away from their loved ones right now.
