Excited over something silly!!
I have never been so excited about something so silly... I am so excited about being able to ride in a car today. I haven't been able to get in a car since 5/9. It is only to go to the doctor but I get to get out of my house and more than just to walk around the neighborhood. I am going crazy having to be home all the time. Not like the doctor is going to tell me I can do much but at least I can go somewhere occasionally. I still won't be able to drive myself anywhere for about 3 more weeks. My pain has really started to get much more managable, I am down to taking my pain meds about 3-4 times a day instead of 6 times a day and 2 at a time then. The thing that really annoys me is wearing this neck brace 24/7. I hate it! And may have to wear it up to 6 more weeks.. YUCK!!! Okay well enough about me.. Colette how are you doing?
I would be excited over that too! I couldn't imagine being stuck in the house for so long. And awesome news that your pain is subsiding!
I am doing great. I am off the pain meds for the most part, advil seems to do just fine. I only need them sometimes, and I am able to drive as of yesterday (as long as I am not on meds). I do tend to get tired in the afternoon though, and dh isn't letting me lift anything - not even the laundry basket. I hope you recover quickly.
Nothing silly about that. I was also excited about being able to get out and about again after surgery.
I'm glad to hear both of you are feeling better!
I remember after my first one was born I was tied to the house for 2 weeks for medical reasons. When we finally got a free day where we could go somewhere, I made my husband take me on a long drive. Glad you are feeling better. You too, Colette.
That's great! It is hard to be stuck in the house all the time!
Well I got back from the dr and figured out why they didn't want me to ride in a car for 2 weeks.. It actually made me sore just riding the 7 miles to the dr office and back. All my stuff gets put off another week because my incision isn't completely healed. I can ride in a car occasionally now but I am not sure I really want to. So I have to wait 2 more weeks rather than 1 to start physical therapy. Oh well, at least I am not hurting too bad.
Definitely nothing silly about that. I was feeling incredibly housebound after my surgery, so I can relate. Makes sense to listen to the docs about when to ride and drive.....I hope both of you have speedy recoveries!
One day at a time... Best wishes to you both.
