My son Gary's birthday is today also, he is 12 too! He had about five friends over for hot dogs, chips, ice cream cake and nerf gun battles!

Everyone had a great time. Each kid was given a Pirates Of The Caribbean shirt and hat to wear. We had a treasure hunt. I painted tiles that were a map when put together. They had to each dive in the pool and get one. Each clue also required a game for them to progress to the next clue. I had the kids paint a huge picture of Davey Jones and it was a balloon dart board. The next clue was in a balloon. They had to do a ring toss, a basketball hoop toss, and eat parrot guts (gummy worms in jello). Finally, after 10 clues/games they found the buried treasure (Pirates of the Caribbean watches, sharks tooth necklaces, candy, etc). They spent the rest of the day swimming. Food was carnival type. They had a hot dog bar (tons of toppings), cotton candy, popcorn, iceys, etc. It was funny, Cosmo (our black lab) crashed at 5:00 PM. They had completely worn him out.
