Springtime in Colorado
Gotta love it. Yep--it's snowing. They're not really calling for any accumulation, but still. It's APRIL!!! ARGH!!! lol Heidi, is it snowing up there???
LOL! It can still snow in April, in WI! I missed 2 days of school, right about now, in April 1973! We got a ton of snow, from that storm! What is cruel around here, though, is that is was 68 and WARM on Saturday, but today it's only 50 and WINDY, so it feels so cold! Kids at school today, were dressed like summer, although I would think their parents should know that just because it was warm on Saturday, didn't mean it would be warm today. While girls were dressed in capris, flip-flops, barefeet, and just a sweatshirt, the lunchladies were wearing winter jackets, hats, and mittens! LOL!
Dh took dd for her bday snowboarding and they got rain and 40mph winds up at the mountains. We had better conditions back here! They did end up having a good time anyways, and then of course the day they left the mountains were getting 26+ inches.. you can keep your snow! I am hoping to hit the beach on Thursday for some beachcombing.
yup! small clumps hit my car and i was like, HUH??? LOL i was planning on going for a bike ride so instead i went shopping!!!
Wow.. snow in april? it is almost 85 here today.
We had flurries for a few minutes today in central Wisconsin...and there is still snow on the ground. It is almost all melted though!
Yup! Snow in April: Snowstorm 1973 - April 8-9, 1973. South half of state. 10 to 20 inches of heavy, wet snow. Wind gusts to 50 mph. Many roads, including the interstates, were closed for 2 days. Thunderstorms accompanied the snow, with snowfall rates peaking at 2-3 inches per hour at the height of the storm. This was an exceptional snowstorm. I would say that most April snowfalls would just be a little bit and it would melt quickly! Our snow is nearly gone. On the north side of my garage, there was still one little patch of ice yet, yesterday. There is also still snow in the streets a little bit, here and there, where it doesn't get much sun. The pond a few miles away, thawed over the weekend, so the geese are swimming now.
