THANKS, everyone! I'll check in as soon as I'm able. We have to leave for the hospital at 5:00. It's too darn early to be up! I have to be there by 5:50, surgery is at 7:45 a.m. EST. Adios to my uterus!
i know you are already on your way well i'm pretty sure lol but adding my thoughts and prayers as well = )
Well, it should all be over and you should be back in your room by now... Hopefully all went well, welcome to the Utero Free Club..

I hope you doing well and everything can start to get back to normal now!!
You are in my thoughts and prayers!
I hope everything went well! Lots of p&pt.
Hope you are resting well tonight.
Hope you are doing well Trina.
I'm hoping and praying that all went well. Feel better soon.
I hope things went well.
I'm home! All went well. No complications. Now to make myself take it easy. It's harder than I thought.
How are you feeling????????????????
So glad all went well. Yes, it is hard to take it easy. But, you are an intelligent woman, and you know that if you don't take it easy now it will simply make it that much longer before you recover fully. I frequently say - if you don't take care of yourself you can't take care of anyone else. I say it frequently because it is true.
Karen, I'm very sore and tender, but hanging in there. Other than prescription strength Motrin, no pain killers. (Narcotics make me sicker than a dog with nausea, vomitting and dry heaves.) Looking forward to a good nights rest. I could have stayed at the hospital another night, but I got very little sleep last night due to frequent interruptions. My GYN said she found a softball sized fibroid on the back exterior of my uterus and a good sized one within the uterus cavity. She suspects that one was causing the hemorraghing, because my body was trying to get rid of it. Thanks for all your hugs and support.
Ginny, my Mom is giving me heck for getting up too much, and is making me sit down. LOL! I was told not to be a couch potato, and some walking and normal movement is OK, but not to over do it. Of course, no lifting anything over 5 lbs.. Hmm, that means I can't do housework or laundry.
I'm so glad it's over with and you are recovering well! Hope this solves all your problems! :o)
Walking around some, will help prevent blood clots and keep your bowels moving! You would be walking some, if you were in the hospital! Also, remember to deep breathe and cough, now and then, too! After my second c-section, I didn't need reminders to do coughing and deep breathing. I did have crap to get rid of and I needed to cough! A pillow helped, against my incision. After my c-sections, I did do my walking in the hospital. I worked on a surgical floor and I knew better! LOL! Our job was walking people and making them cough! Sounds like you really needed that surgery! What a relief, huh?
Dawn is right - reasonable walking around (is the weather decent enough to let you walk outside a bit?), and certainly deep breathing and coughing. But moderate walking does not mean up and down the stairs, and everything else you want to or feel you should do. I will say what every mom says - Listen to your mother (and to Dawn).
I hope you will continue to feel better and recover soon.
Dawn and Ginny, I'm getting up and walking too much. I'm not one to sit/lie around and do nothing. I walked in the hospital, too. In fact, the first time I got out of bed myself and walked all the way down the long hall and back. The nurse was surprised I went so far. This is not nearly as painful as my c-sections. I got hardly any sleep at the hospital due to my noisy roommate and frequent vital checks, etc.. I finally dozed off and was not happy to be woken up at 1:00 a.m. to walk! I said to the nurse, "You've got to be kidding! I finally fell asleep and now I have to walk at 1:00 a.m.?!" She just smiled and said, "Only up to the door and back." I showed her. I walked down to the nursing station and back again. HA! It was heaven last night to get some decent sleep in my own bed and quiet house!
Trina, Trina, Trina......... You are a BAD patient. LOL Great to hear you are feeling as well as you are, but you DO need to make an effort to NOT overdo it............... :-)
They MADE you walk, in the middle of the night? We never did that! LOL! I know I got vitals checked, in the middle of the night, and one night I had an apnea monitor attached to me, because I'd gotten epidural pain meds, for the first night, and it can cause apnea. I had trouble sleeping, because everytime my breathing slowed down, as I fell asleep, the darn thing would alarm! Argh.
Glad you are home and feeling better...one day at a time
I was totally thinking that after 2 c-sections, this would not be so bad! I'm glad your Mom is giving you heck! I know it's hard to take it easy, especially at your own house! Hopefully the time flies by. Go read a book or watch a chick flick. Enjoy the no laundry thing!!! I'll email you a bit later. ((HUG))
Glad you are feeling better.
It sounds like you are doing great! I'm glad everything went well for you!
Glad you are doing well, but yes--don't overdo! I'm shocked that you had a roommate. I didn't know that non-private hospital rooms even still existed!
Trina, Rest comfortably Think good thoughts Be patient with yourself Picture yourself well Relax, recover, and remember Healing thoughts and good wishes are being sent your way!
I'm so glad things went well for you! Yes, take it easy, and don't overdo it!
I'm glad that they've got those baseballs out of you, Trina!! I'm sure you'll be doing great in no time!!
