My new favorite saying
Just read this somewhere on the internet: Only boring women have immaculate houses. (no insult intended to those MV members who manage to have immaculate houses - obviously you are the exceptions that prove the rule) This will join my two other favorite sayings Efficiency is organized laziness. and NOT my problem!!
LOL... My mantra is, "Will this matter in 20 years?"
Ginny and Bobbie - I agree 100%! Ginny, I have used your latter saying quite a bit in the past few weeks over the transportation issue with my boss's children. And, boy, I must be the most NON-boring person in the world, if my house is the indicator! LOL!!
Ditto, Hol, but I did get the sheets off my bed, so I will be sleeping in clean sheets and clean jammies tonight! LOL!
Dawn, you are doing better than me.. I had the thought, "Man, I should change these sheets!" while I was laying in bed this morning deciding my daily activities.. Big surprise, didn't happen. I have a sick kid and spent the afternoon at the PED's office. My energy meant for changing my bed, and a few other chore type things, is past spent.. It has moved to my to do list for tomorrow. Unless dh breaks down and does it, but he swears they aren't that dirty... GRR... LOL
Love that one! I just always think to myself that I don't want my dd to remember me cleaning, cleaning, cleaning, but doing, doing, doing something with her. I love a nice neat house, but immaculate? Please! There are soooooo many more things to do to enjoy life!
Then, I am the life of the party, because my house is a wreck! I'll be writing that one down! Or better yet, that would make a great magnet for my kitchen when the sink is full of dishes. LOL
Except that I took those sheets off at 9am, and I still have to make the bed, so I can sleep in it. I took a nap this afternoon, with just a quilt, on top of my mattress pad, so it didn't bother me then! LOL! I did put the pillow cases on then, though, so I don't have to do it now. I just know I will be cozier, if I make the bed, properly, before I sleep. I was doing some knitting, and then hubby called to say he was going to a friend's house, after work, to talk for a while and I was thinking, "Great! I can keep knitting and then go make my bed!"
