I am going anonamous so my DD doesn't hate me. She is 12 and for the past few days her stomach has hurt her. Her underwear is also wet in the front. It is not sticky or mucousy, it is just wet and clear. Does that sound like discharge or does it sound like leaking pee? She is peeing fine so a UTI doesn't seem like its the problem. Do you think the stomach pain is ovulation? She said it was in the middle so ovulation maybe isn't the answer because that would be on one side, right? She's never gotten her period before so I was just wondering if this was a sign. Her stomach pain is gone today, but the wet underwear is still going on. I'm just didn't think discharge was ever clear and watery. I always thought it was sticky and stringy. But its been a long time since I was 12.

I would tend to think it is some bodily fluid and not pee or I would think there would be a yellowish tint to it. Dd is 13 and I haven't noticed anything like that yet nor has she started periods. I am anxious to hear others experiences as well!!

I went thru a full year of "wet pants" on a cycle. I had no idea why sometimes my panties would be soaking! All the way thru, even with jeans. I was so embarassed and never told anyone. I was an adult when I realzied it cycled.

At some point I read that this is very normal for girls prior to a period. It was like a precursor period with just fluid no blood. I was 12 and younger. My period started on my 13th bday and didn't reapear until I was 14 yrs old.

Sounds normal to me. My girls all noticed that change before their periods started.

To the last anon, that happened to me last year. My period stopped for 15 months. In between, there were times when I had that same clear fluid that was as heavy as a period. It was very strange!

My daughter hasn't started yet either But yes your body does do strange things in prep for your cycle , hormones to change. I started when I was 9 TMI, but when I first started you couldn't tell that's what it was. Even my mother thought I had been sitting on the ground and my skirt was now covering my bottom. the next day she knew what it was. But I stop after that thrid day and didnt' get a another cycle until I was 11 and now here I am 33 and I still have that cycle. But I do recall in between I got sick every month ( well sick to a kid at the tiem but now I now know it was period symptoms) as well as leaked or dis chaged what ever you want to call it. Even with both of my pregancies I didn't have a cycle while I was pregnant but I stayed wet/moist in that area so I wore panty liners.
