Dh and I are going to an event for his work. The 2nd night, the itinerary has the attire listed as evening casual. So, what is that?? I have a really pretty pants suit. It has a neat long jacket. I also have a black wrap dress that I really like, that I could put some nice jewelry, dressy heals, and a dressy bag with.

Input please. I am meeting dh's boss for the first time, so I would like to make a good impression. Also, they are recognizing dh because he was director of the year, so it will be a pretty special night for us.

Oh, it is in Chicago the first weekend in May. If that makes any difference.

Argh, I hate all these words people come up with on dress attire. Either tell me to dress up or wear jeans. LOL

Evening casual to me is dress pants and a nice shirt/jacket. Not too dressy, but not jeans either. I have no idea if that is right, but that is what I would wear. LOL

I have been to events, for my hubby's work, that were listed as "evening casual". The men wore dress pants and dress shirts. Some had ties & some didn't. All the women (myself included) had on either dresses or skirt sets.
I would go with the black wrap dress.

Thank you. I will go with the dress. Dh told me he is wearing his new suit with a tie, so I think the dress will be better. Dh told me to go out and buy some new shoes since I don't have to buy anything new to wear. I will definintley take him up on that!
