Special thanks to Crystal!
While browsing the recipe board, I saw your recent Monkey Bread post!!!! I LOVE to bake, and have been baking stuff forever! Every Christmas, I make 20 different kinds of cookies!!! Everyone gets a tray! I make cakes, cookies, pies! You name it, I love to bake it! BUT... I have the weirdest child in the world! She HATES most things other children can't get enough of! She doesn't eat cake (even her own birthday cake), cookies, cupcakes, ice cream, CANDY!?!, pudding, jello!!! Nothing! Her only sweet treats are Oreos and Hoodies and glazed Munchkins... only glazed!!! So, she likes ice cream, but it has to be Hoodies! Oreos are the only cookies to exist! But, she loves to cook! Loves to be in the kitchen cooking and making anything! So, when I saw your recipes, I figured, "let's give it a try!" We kept it simple, nuts only! She had a wonderful time rolling and sugaring and SHE LOVED IT!!!! SHE ATE IT SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY FOR BREAKFAST!!! And I was so amazed that she like it, that I let her eat it!!! LOL Thank you, thank you!!!!
Likes to make it, but not eat it? Is she nuts? I can't ever wait to eat the stuff I make! I'm glad she liked the monkey bread.
LOL Dawn!!!!! I've said the same thing... many times! She loves cooking and baking! She'll even frost a cake! But get her to eat it, you'd think we were trying to shove medicine into her mouth! Quite funny!!! But, think of the dentist money I'll save!
I'm so glad!!! You made my day with this post! We're all big fans of Monkey Bread, I made it for my best friend and her boys last weekend, and they loved it, too. This is going to be a favorite tradition in our family for years to come, and I'm glad your family loved it as well.
OK you talked to much about it so I had to make it. DH and I ate 1/2 of it tonight. Crystal you are the BOMB!!!
Isn't it horribly addicting??? It's gone and I'm already thinking about when we can make another one!!! LOL
We are going to visit my sister and her family in a few weeks for the weekend. I already told her that we are making Monkey Bread for breakfast when we come down. She had no complaints about that!
