88 inches of snow, now, for the season
We just got another 6 inches last night! LOL! Although, this isn't 88 inches all piled high. We had some in November and December, that all pretty much melted and then we had 30-40 inches in February alone, and that was nearly melted, before we got the 6 inches yesterday. This makes this the 3rd snowiest winter, for Sheboygan. The next record to break is 92 inches from the winter of 1978-1979. I was a freshman in college, that year and think I did miss a day or two of school due to the weather. A more usual winter only has about 41 inches of snow!
OMgosh!! I honestly can't even imagine that much snow!!!!!!!
I know. In February, we were just inundated! The snowbanks were so high and stuck out so far, into the road! Last night's snow is melting pretty quickly. Our driveway and sidewalks are down to bare pavement already. Temp was above 32 this afternoon and we had bright sunshine! March snows just don't last as long as Jan/Feb snows.
We have had record snows here too... Snowed here this morning but only a dusting. Where did the global warming factor in this year?
I don't think it did. LOL!
We got hit from 3pm until 7am this morning with 8in more. I am so done with this white stuff. Bring on the spring flowers.
Our news said we will continue with this same winter weather for at least the next month. *sigh* We have had snow for 5 solid months, and that just stinks! I don't want to experience my first May snowfall!
Ugh. I've had May snowfalls. In Wisconsin, they don't last very long.
