We are flooding again!!

I don't think it is going to get as bad as it was 3 years ago when we had to leave home, but the main bridge out of here is going to be under water soon!! The kids have been off school all week and the school will be closed until further notice!!

And it is still raining!!!!!

Yes, I heard on the radio there are floods from Texas through Illinois and, of course, Ohio. We're getting some pretty heavy rain in Pennsylvania, too, but I'm not personally in danger of a flood in my neighborhood or for my commute. I heard that at least 11 people have been killed in the current floods.

My home is in no danger at all. Last time we did evacuate just because I was scared we might loose power! We have since had a generator installed (we loose power a lot) so we would stay even if we do get shut off from the rest of the world again. They have built an emergency road though, so I don't think that will happen again. The kids have missed this whole week! If they can, they will have to go to school next week which was supposed to be spring break. But I wouldn't be shocked if they miss at least some of next week too. The last time it was a little worse than it is so far and they missed 14 days of school for it! Fun fun!!
