Camera update!
Just had to give an update since I am COMPLETELY surprised by the outcome. I posted a week or so ago about damage to my camera that happened at the camera repair place. They refused to handle it, etc. I filed a complaint with the BBB and voila! I received a response from them through BBB and email that they would grant my settlement request and completely repair the camera! I received it yesterday and it appears to be working fine, housing has been replaced. I really am still in shock. It seems like lately we have just been getting so screwed on repairs (sorry to offend but it's true!), and we finally were treated right for something that was not our fault. Yay!
Congratulations! I'm glad it's all fixed and working better! My eyeglasses fell apart yesterday. The left "arm" broke, right near the hinge. We took them to the eyeglass store today and they are ordering me new frames, at no charge! The man who owns the shop, is our neighbor and we bring all our eyeglass business to him, so he's usually very nice about stuff like that! I had expensive frames, too! For now, I have to deal with my old eyeglasses and the close-up and computer reading isn't nearly as good as my newer pair, but I can deal, until Monday.
Terrific, Deanna. So true that the squeaky (complaining) wheel gets the grease - or in this case gets a camera properly repaired at no charge. Congratulations. Some people would just throw up their hands and believe that nothing can be done about it, but I'm with you on complaining to everyone in sight until something gets done.
Oh, and Dawn. I haven't had an earpiece break since my dil persuaded me to get glasses with the flex-hinge. I love them - and, if I fall asleep with my glasses on, the frame doesn't get distorted.

Yay! Your good luck must be travelling through cyberspace and to my computer, because our camera came back just the other day and it's all fixed too!
GREAT news, Deanna! I just now had a nasty experience with a rude CSR with Salliemae. Before I hung up, I told her how rude and nasty I thought she was and that I'd call back another time and speak with someone more helpful. And believe me, I WILL call back. The squeaky/complaining wheel usually DOES get the grease! And I'm learning to be a major PITB when it comes to that. You go, girl!
