One of life's little lessons -
I often wrap gift packages on my bed - it's a nice big flat surface, and I can shut the door to keep the cat and dog out. So when I had to wrap a couple of gifts for a baby shower at the office last week, I brought everything into my bedroom and wrapped away. What I learned is don't buy wrapping paper with sparkly stuff on it. If you use wrapping paper with sparkly stuff on it, don't wrap the package on your bed - especially if you have a textured bedspread. It took two times through the washer to get all the sparkly stuff off my bedspread. It would have been much easier if I had done it in the kitchen, or even the dining room, where I could have just wiped off the table and vacuumed up the rest.
Oh my gosh, I did the same thing. Sparkly paper on my SHEETS. I woke up the next morning and my husband wanted to know why there was glitter on my forehead! LOL
BTDT!!! LOL You live you learn right!
LOL Ginny! Sparkly stuff ANYwhere takes forever to go away. We used those curly sparkly things on our Christmas tree in December and I am STILL finding sparkly stuff in the furniture and rug.
Oh no! What a mess! I wrap things on the living room floor, because it's a big, open space!
The problem with my living room floor is that it is open range for a very large snuggle-up Rottie and a very nosy cat (or is it redundant to say nosy and cat in the same sentence?). Maybe next time I'll put the Rottie and cat in the bedroom and use the living room floor.
That would work.
I always use the pool table The dining room table has a fruit bowl and decorative "stuff" that I would need to move first. I do have glitter on the pool table. LOL. It is very hard to get off felt. I like the sparkly wrapping paper but it does leave glitter everywhere.
