Gift basket
Hi, ladies. I'm trying to put together a gift basket for a mom in mommy's group and I'm drawing a blank for ideas. She likes to travel, so I'm thinking of a travel themed basket....and that's all I've come up with. LOL Any ideas as to what I can put in it? Thankfully I have about a month and a half to put it together. I'm thinking some small items of some sort. Thanks for your help!
Random thoughts.... -An atlas -card games/handheld games for her kids to play -disposable camera -visitors guides from surrounding states -sunglasses -sunscreen -travel pillows -travel blanket -travel journal w/nice pen -books on tape
Is this for a specific reason, or more of a pick me up? If it is apick me up, you can do stuff like postcards of places with an item to go with each. Like Texas and do a chili mix or a package of bluebonnet seeds. Holland, you could do tulips, belgium...can we say good chocolate. China...find some great teas. personally in my gift baskets I like to have some consumable items. I love getting a beautiful journal and nice pen, something I wouldn't splurge on. for state stuff you can always log on to their websites and ask for brocures, texas has a huge mailing they will send. Florida...could be a mickey item.
Well, it's like a Secret Santa only it's a Secret Mommy. We have a secret Mommy who gives us little gifts throughout the months. It could be anything-a card, a donut, lotion, whatever. (It usually matches pretty well with what we fill out in our questionaires and we can spend up to $5.) Of course, we don't know who our secret Mommies are until the reveal at the end of Spring. This particular person likes to travel and I'm thinking of her last gift. (For the last gifts we may spend up to $20). I know it seems like a lot, but we meet once every two weeks and we all get pretty creative with the gift giving. I'm finding that the majority of us use our talents to make things for each other so the monetary guidelines are just there for that, a guideline. Oh, and we choose to participate if we'd like, we don't have to do so. So, yeah, it's kinda like our Secret Santa here.
