We are officially done with diapers...
...and I'm not sure why, but I feel a little sad. Not that being done with diapers isn't a good thing, or even something that should be emotional, but it was kind-of like our last 'baby' thing. Natalie was so not ready for night potty training until early December. Then all of a sudden she went from peeing TONS still at night (regardless of what we did) to getting up once on her own at night to go to just staying dry and not going potty at night. She's had nearly a month of dry (no wet days) and tonight was our last diaper. Before that she was having 5 nights out of 7 usually. (She still had to wear diapers at night and NOT pull-ups because she still peed so much that a pull-up wouldn't hold it prior to December!) She thinks she's such hot stuff and I'm still surprised. We honestly thought there was no end in sight, which threw me for a loop anyway because she day trained so easily over a year and a half ago. Anyway, it's bittersweet. Our big girl just seemed to get even bigger.
Awww. As much as you want to get through the stages, it's still hard, emotionally, when you do. I remember feeling a bit bittersweet, when Emily accomplished potty training, too, and that was after six years of diapers.
Awwww! I know exactly what you mean. All of those milestones are so difficult to get through. Diapers, bottles, losing the nap... The hardest for me was when we broke ours from the bottle. I always loved it when they'd cuddle up to me before bedtime and take their bottle. It was very difficult for me to let that go!
Well, congrats to Natalie!!!!! ^5!!!
I know what you mean, even though the milestones are good it's still kind of sad. My dd will start school this September and man am I having mixed feelings! I want another baby! But not really.....Just in that romantic dreamy way. Good for Natalie!!
That is great news.. Faith is newly potty trained, since around Christmas. Some mornings she wakes up dry, other times not. Somedays she has one accident, then she will go several days where she wont. Its frustrating at times LOL...Lucky though never a poop accident in the pullup or panties, so thats a plus
Congrats!!!!
