SNOW! Darn
About 2 inches on top of my car. According to the radio, speeds on the NJ & PA Turnpike reduced to 35 mph. Roads covered, dividing lines covered. Lots of spinouts. According to our all-news station, 3-6 inches in the "northern and western suburbs". Gah - I hate that phrase, "northern and western suburbs" because that's where I live and work. And changing over to sleet and freezing rain before turning to rain. Well, so much for going in early this morning. I've been going in about 1-2 - 2 hours early every day this week because I am so back-logged and I've been trying to play catch-up. But not today. Depending on the reports, I may even go in an hour late to give the idiots a chance to get out of the way before I hit the roads.
Ginny, it is on it's way. We are still getting a bit of the rain. Everything is iced over.
It's coming our way too. We are supposed to get 6-10 inches. I think dh is going to work from home.
Those sound like lovely winter conditions - not. Good luck driving in to work today. I'm glad we're being given a reprieve, for a few days.
When I left home this morning at 4:30 it was just ice no rain and a few slick spots, when I came back out at 6:40 to complete my journey to work, it's just all rain. Now they ( weather reporters) said that it would start last night around 10, it did not , so i'm hoping that it doesn't last all day as they called for. it's supposed to turn to freezing rain tonight. But what can I say it is what it is. Just hope that all my MV buddies if they must venture out, are kept safe and unarmed.
It's snowing here, too. I'm hoping DH will come home early from work because according to the weather alert at Weather.com, the commute will be hairy.
We're supposed to get hit with ice. The roads are bad enough now there's no school today.
ANOTHER TEN INCHES!!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
Well......by contrast, I'd LOVE to see some snow - we are approaching 80 deg. here today and the A/C is on.......though I'm awfully glad I don't have to DRIVE in the stuff!
