I am the official "cart girl" at my local golf club. I will be driving the greens with beverages and snacks a few days a week. On Sundays I will be the hostess for their new brunch service. I've never worked in food service before but after serving my family for 20 years I'm hoping I catch on quick.
Everyone was very friendly, helpful and hilarious.
I trained yesterday on the cart but didn't drive it. The other girl and I were out on the course for about 45 minutes and we made $20 in tips plus I will be getting a hourly wage. She was going to train me again today and let me drive but it is raining. I'm supposed to drive it tomorrow by myself. I hope I don't end up in a sand pit or a pond! It has a horn so hopefully the snowbirds can run out of my way!
Many times we had to stop to let the golfers hit, so the girl told me to bring a book because sometimes you can be stopped for ten minutes or more. Right up my alley!

What a fun job. We used to do big promotional, golf tournaments for the company I worked for. A few times, I was the cart girl. It really was a lot of fun, and I didn't get paid for it!!

And, don't worry too much about driving the golf cart. It isn't that hard. If I can do it, you can do it!!!
