Bug bite
I had to take Randy to the doc this morning because he had a nasty bug bite on his foot. The peds clinic won't see bites so we had to go to the ER (military, oh joy). We spent 2 1/2 hours there to see the doc for 3 minutes and have him give us an antibiotic cream. He said if it gets worse to bring him back in. Here's what it looks like. He didn't even tell us what he thought bit Randy. Dh and I are going to tear Randy's room apart to see if we can find anything. Oh, the joys of parenthood.
Oh, the brown spot on the left is a freckle. The red spot on the right is the actual bite. Then there's the dark red rectangle (1"x1/2") and then the lighter red circle (about 3" in diameter). Any clue what bit him???
Glad you clarified that - with 2 *holes*, my 1st thought was spider bite! Is that a head (pus, etc.) on the bite? That is what ant bites look like on me or Jen.
It started out white and turned red and I don't know if there's pus in it or not. I'm not sure where he'd get bitten by and ant this time of year in Colorado. I've never seen a flea on any of our animals or in the house (or yard, for that matter). Weird.
It look a bit better this morning--in the sense that the pink around the red was pretty much gone. That 1"x1/2" red spot is a really deep red now and it's itching him like crazy! lol I have a feeling that spot is going to take a while to go away. I'm still keeping an eye on it, though.
We get lots of spider bites at our place. They look pretty much like that, and they are itchy.
