Has anyone tried Alli with Weight Watchers?
My mother-in-law knows I am doing Weight Watchers and is very supportive, she wants to buy me Alli for my birthday but I don't know anyone who has taken it personally. I am doing real well counting points and staying within my daily range, I have been eating low cal/low fat since 01/01/08. The Alli web site says you can lose 25% more fat from your diet using their product along with WW but you still have to follow the Alli diet...I want to know what these things are, the difference's between Alli and WW diets. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I took this by prescription when it was Xenical. If you don't exceed 22 grams of fat per day you are ok. If you go over, look out, don't get too far from the bathroom. You will actually see fat deposits floating in the water. It does work if used correctly. It does enable you to eat the fatty foods you like once in awhile and have the peace of mind that the fat is being purged from your body. I say give it a try especially if it's free.
I was wondering what might happen if I was to "cheat" with some fat, sure would make one think twice...humm does a coupon for "Depends" comes with the starter kit? lol... I think I will wait till AFTER my birthday to start this...after the seafood rest. because I know I want Lobster and BUTTER...and I don't want to break a land speed record trying to get back home. Thanks for the tips, I (somehow) feel better?
I have a friend that is eating healthy, exercising, and taking Alli. She has been very successful with it, but she is doing her part too. She said it does help you not cheat. Because, if you eat over the suggested amount of fat in any meal, you will have horrible side effects. I think there is a website, that is very informative. I would google Alli, and check it out. Good luck to you.
You should probably ask your WW group leader. WW may not recommend dropping too much weight too quickly. I've hit goal weight, then gone back to my old ways and gained my weight back. Now I know that WW is as much about re-training yourself and developing new habits as about that intial weightloss. Would adding another element mess up your successful program? I'd be interested to hear about other folks' experience with Alli, too.
I would not only ask the WW group leader, and your doctor. Mlee is right that WW is about training your body and mind to new habits without artificial aids, and I personally think that is a better way to approach weight loss. If you are already doing well with the WW plan, why run the risk of messing things up? - especially with those side effects.
