High school musical
I auditioned for a part in our high school's production of, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat," and got it! I get to play the evil seductress, Potiphar's Wife (hee hee). Now, my teenage dd and dh are wondering how I'm going to get away with NOT dropping my clothes on stage, or getting arrested for indecency with a minor (Joseph will be played by a h.s. senior boy)! The show will be a blast!
Congratulations! That sounds like fun How come they aren't using a highschool student for the seductress? I have seen this play and it is really neat! I bet you'll have lots of fun.
Oh, what fun! I was in musicals in high school and it was a blast!!! I got to be in one in third grade, too. Very memorable (though not as fun being 8 and working with a bunch of high schoolers--some of whom didn't like kids!). We just had a children's musical at church and I got to be in it. It really took me back. I'd love to do music theater again. *sigh* Maybe someday... Have a great time and I want to see pictures!!!
Well, they opened it up to the community, so there are about 4 or 5 adults in it. I don't know why they didn't cast students for these parts (Reuben, M/M Potiphar, Pharoah, and another I'm not sure about yet). Maybe there weren't any interested. I told the director I didn't want to take the part from a student, so I'm assuming she didn't.
Oh yes, pictures would be great. When is the play?
How cool, Janet! We definintely want to see pics! I would be too *afraid* to do something like that, and I envy those of you who are confident enough to do it.
Very cool... let us know how it goes, and don't forget the pictures!
The play is in April..we begin rehearsals next week. I'll try to get some pics!
