Holiday pet reminders
Pets Health Lucky got a piece of fudge out of Robin's trash yesterday. Thankfully, he's okay, but he did end up vomiting twice (NASTY!!!). We were quite worried about him for a while, and it was a TINY piece of fudge (probably less than a couple ounces). Just a reminder to keep our furry children safe.
Thanks Cat! Bakers chocolate is the worst since its pure and dark but chocolate is less toxic with the lighter it gets. And bigger dogs of course dont have the same toxicity dosages as small dogs so if your Labrador eats a few M&M's theres no need to run to the emergency clinic! (Yes, prior work experience!) Enjoy the holidays everyone!
When I was a kid our golden ate a pineapple upside down cake, about 2 pounds of homemade chocolate covered cherries, and a BIG bag of m&m's when we were out christmas shopping. We didnt know that it was REALLY bad for him, just thought he would get a big tummy ache, which he did and the worst dog farts ever. He came through fine although my mom sure felt like killing him lol. He was the worst chocoholic ever, he would know if you anything remotely chocolate in the groceries and would practically knock you down to get at it.
