What do you want for Christmas?
My dh is worried about getting me something good for Christmas. And I have been so excited about all the stuff that I am getting for others that I forgot about what I want. He says the few things I've mentioned don't seem like much. And I just can't think of much. So what do you want? Maybe you can give me ideas. We may be snowed/iced in tomorrow and it may be a moot point.
I want new bedding for our bedroom and a gift certificate to the new spa that opened a few months ago. I tend to do the same thing you do, just get excited about what I'm getting for others.
I have a small list of things I want: ~800 thread count sheets for our bed ~A white terrycloth robe ~A new Maternity Peacoat from old Navy (you know so I can wear it for 4 months...lol) And that's all, but I will probably get one for Christmas and the rest over the next month.
Is there anything you collect I collect Barbie and dolphins. I'm also into wanting to be more fit so workout videos and such are good too. I like the shopping for everyone else though. Is it because it gives us a reason to shop that we like christmas? I hope not but i do like shopping for my niece and husband.
I really *need* a jewelry armoire. I have asked for one for the last 4 yrs. I have my fingers crossed this might be the yr!! hehehe ;) Thats all I asked for this yr. I can tell you I am not getting one *again* this yr because dh took me to Springfield on Monday night and bought us a new 4-wheeler, then he took me too Sam's Club tonight and bought me a new Camo jacket to keep me warm while riding the 4-wheeler...
I want a green lava lamp (I was born in 1961, never had one and I want one) and a simple gold cross pendant necklace. DH is sweet but just doesn't think that is enough.
I saw a really great purse at Victoria's Secret that I would love. I hinted at it enough that I think it might have gotten through It has a bunch of lotions and stuff in it too, but I'm mostly interested in the purse!
I want the new Landrover LR3 but that isn't gonna happen! LOL! I can never think of anything off the top of my head I to am always wrapped up with what I am getting others. You know I have sat here for 5 minutes and can't think of anything! I sure think of it all when I'm shopping though!
Services!!!!! No more stuff. I want gift certificates for manicures and pedicures and massages. I want restaurant gift cards and theater, museum and event tickets.
Well, I spoiled my gift from DH! LOL He had taken 3 hours off work to go buy me the Ugg boots and matching jacket two weeks ago. Well one day last week he seen me online searching for the Ugg's that I wanted and realized he bought the wrong ones. So, He brings out my gifts and says that he goofed so I brought it all back and got the right ones, but now I don't have a big gift wrapped under the tree!
Well, dh and I already bought a new sofa, loveseat and bookcases for the family room. I'd love a piano, but it's not going to happen. Guess I'll have to start putting some money away for that. I have one at my mom's house, but it's not like you can box something like that up and mail it.
It dawned on me last night why dh is so frustrated about a good gift. He usually does something neat. For example 5 years ago I was wanting to have a baby, but we were having a hard time deciding to do it. One ds was out of high school and the other 2 were close. We were 38. Do we start all over again? For Christmas dh, and I do mean darling husband, gave me a rocker/recliner for Christmas and told me it needed a baby to be rocked in it. The next year when I was 8 monts preg with dd he gave me a matching mommy and baby night gowns. He likes to do neat stuff. He probably hasn't thought of anything this year.
I want my kitchen wall papered and painted. Bathroom down stairs done too. I take the bathroom or the kitchen.
World peace...and I couldn't be any more serious...
My ultimate Christmas present would be to redo my upstairs bathroom. The tub faucets are soooo old and it's getting so hard to shut the water off! Well, that's not going to happen anytime soon. The next thing would be to get new living room carpeting and new hallway carpeting up the stairs to Sarah's room. Not going to happen right away, either. With inheritance money, though, we are going to replace the remaining 8 windows in our house. This is important, since energy costs keep going up and it will save us money in the long run to have better windows. For what is realistic, a Mary Engelbreit 2005 calendar for my kitchen is high on my list. I can't remember what other things I asked for. My daughter wrote my list up for dad and I have forgotten what I told her! LOL!
