I feel like Santa
Today dh and I donated the van that we recently replaced with a newer model to a family whose son has disabilites and is in a wheelchair. The mom just found out that her car is in need of major repairs and that their son needs to be in a motorized chair that they wouldn't be able to transport in a car anyway...so the timing was absolutely perfect for her. My 7 year old is beginning to question wether or not Santa is real and today I can tell her that Yes, "Santa" is real :-)
These kinds of stories are what Christmas should be about! That is wonderful of you. And what a great example for your kids.
Oh man. That makes me want to cry.
I am so proud of you and I dont even know you . Thanks for bringing a little christmas cheer to them and to me.
Very cool! GOOD for you!! I wonder if she'll look into getting her *new* van customized with special anchors that will secure her son's wheelchair. We touched upon this topic during the CPS Tech course.
That was so sweet of you.
What a great thing! I am a firm believer in pay it forward and random acts of kindess. What you did will continue to grow because anyone who receives such kindness will feel the need to do good for someone else. It is a wonderful cycle! Have a great holiday!
Wow! That is beautiful! What a great idea! There should be a data base for people can donate their used working cars to needy families.
