Sorry but I have one more question (digital cameras)

I've been asking a lot of questions tonight! Sorry for that :)

My inlaws got us a new digital camera for Christmas. It is our first really nice one. I am thrilled with it.

I am trying to find a FREE website for photo editing. I'm interested in turning photos from color to black and white or sepia. Also highlighting certain parts of the photo.

We got a free adobe photoshop starter series cd. It is way too basic. Of course we could purchase the 6.0 series. But I wanted to see if there are any free ones out there first. Any suggestions?

What kind of digital camera is it? I know our Kodak came with software for editing. I'm sure there are some free ones out there, but a lot of people use things like Paintshop, or Microsoft Picture It!, though I think there is a new version of that named something else. HTH!

It is a Nikon coolpix 4100. I don't have paintshop on my computer. Is it downloadable from a website?

I have "paint" on my computer. Is that the same or different?

Breann, I have had 2 Nikon coolpix cameras and they both came with software. Go to the Nikon website and see if you can upload pics to it and edit them there also. Seems like I have done that before as well... Hope this helps!

Maybe I'll go through my box again and see. The one that I used that it came with is called "Adobe Photoshop Album SE". I'll check again. I'll also try the Nikon website.

Maybe I'll even check with my inlaws. They had opened the box up and took some things out and wrapped them seperately. It was kind of like a litte scavenger hunt for us. Maybe something got left out by accident.

Thanks!

Most cameras come with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements. If not, try Gimp:

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

it's sort of a GPL version of Photoshop

I like using Microsoft Picture It! for my photo editing and I use Irfanview to resize my photos and all the simple stuff like red eye, etc...

Thank you all :) I will check into all of these!
