Sad story....
This story has been on our local news and its so sad I am praying that they can locate this poor boy. Monday, December 20, 11:50 a.m. By Norm Jones Search for Missing Boy Resumes Bitterly cold temperatures didn't keep volunteers inside in Lycoming County Monday as they searched for a missing nine year old boy. Logan disappeared Saturday in South Williamsport. An army of police, firefighters, and volunteers have been looking for him non-stop. It is bitterly cold, yet hundreds of searchers are making their way through the South Williamsport area on this second day that Logan is still missing. One of the areas is off Route 15, up in the hills. While some crews were searching overnight, hundreds of volunteers showed up at first light to find the missing boy. The search is being coordinated at the South Williamsport Fire Station on Route 15. There volunteers were warming up and getting a bite to eat before heading back out into the frigid woods Monday morning. Organizers spent the morning looking for Logan in forest areas and open fields, even using boats to scan the banks of the Susquehanna River. So far, searchers have not come across anything that would shows signs Logan was in the area. Word of his disappearance has spread across the state, attracting volunteers of all ages and addresses. Search organizers are holding on to hopes they'll find the boy alive. "The atmosphere is still very positive. There's always hope. There's always a chance. We're trying to explore every possibility. Everyone that telephones in, we've been checking out every last detail out, any story. The support from the area has been just overwhelming," said Forest Ranger Jeff Raisch. Search crews said Logan went missing from his South Williamsport home Saturday around 4:00 p.m. He is nine years old but is mentally challenged and doesn't speak. He is about four feet tall and weighs about 55 pounds. His hair is shaved and reddish blonde. He was last seen wearing only a grey long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and brown slippers.
Oh, that is sad. I hope they find that poor little boy very soon!
How aweful, I am wondering if he was taken or wondered off...do you know? How horrible.
What state is this?
I know..isn't this the saddest story..it is all over the news here in Northeast Pa....I have been haunted by this little one's story..especially with how cold it has been today...he reminds me of a little boy in my class..similar in looks..I am praying they find him soon..I cant imagine where he might have wandered off to...
This is in NE PA, as of 7 tonight they are still searching for him. This is what was on the news at 7. A state police helicopter flew over the home where Logan lives with his four sisters and mother. Investigators said the boy was watching television with his younger sister Saturday around 4:00 p.m. Logan got up and left. A half hour later, his mother was frantically searching, then called 911. At the South Williamsport Fire Department, hundreds of volunteers showed up to help find the missing boy. Searchers arrived from across the state.
